THE GREEN REPORT - OUR PROGRESS
Trend of Prince Hotel's GHG Emission Compared to Total Room Occupancy from 2005 to 2008
In the past four years, up to 2008 we have reduced our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions per occupied room by 15.6%. We continue to work to reduce our electricity consumption, which is the biggest source of our GHG emissions.
McKinnon & Clarke, a world-leading energy consultancy who have over thirty years of experience saving money and improving energy efficiency, have calculated and analyzed our carbon footprint. McKinnon & Clarke commented that even though Prince Hotel’s 2008 room occupancy has increased since 2005, our GHG emissions per occupied room are at a record low level. This is a testament to the work done to improve the hotel's energy efficiency over the last 5 years.
